• Place the water safety rules for your kids (such as, never enter the water without getting approval from your parents).
• Be informed of the water situation you are in and its potential dangers, such as bottomless and low areas, currents, depth changes, obstructions and where the entry and exit points are positioned.
• Learn how to avoid, recognize and respond.

• Never go for swimming alone.
• Know and follow all the rules and posted signs.
• If you found someone in danger, reach or throw him a floatable object and never try to rescue them unless you are a qualified lifeguard.
• Swim in those areas which are controlled by lifeguards.
• Try to take extra safety measures such as wearing of U.
• Try to use Coast Guard approved life jacket on the water.
• At the very beginning never dive, measure the feet first entry when entering the water.
• Never combine alcohol with swimming or boating. Alcohols damage judgment, balance and skills, affects your swimming and reduces your body’s ability to stay hot.
• Pools must be enclosed entirely with a railing with vertical bars to prevent scaling
• Openings in the railing should be no more than 4 inches by its width. The house must not be a part of the blockade. If the house is a part of the fences, additional fencing should be put in.
• The area should be checked and protected with an alarm that produces sound if unapologetically opened.
• Always try to keep the basic lifesaving equipments by the pool and know the using method.
